I pray. I pray to God for help with the troubles in my life, to release my pains, sorrows and worries. I pray to God for direction so that I may lead a life as Jesus did, loving people, no matter their location, color or status. I also used to pray that he would send singing angles and a sunbeam of light that would illuminate the path I was to take to help me “see” the direction he wanted me to go!
People say they can “hear” God and I was not so sure I could. That was until I truly opened my heart and ears. When I heard the “Power of One” by Bomshel I knew this song and its message was meant for me. I was sitting in my car driving when it happened. I felt like I heard every word. Really heard it in my heart; the words, the music, the meaning. That’s when I looked down at my dashboard and read the quote I have had there for years “There are a thousand reasons why you can’t, all you need is one reason why you can.”
God was telling me that I can and that it doesn’t need to be monumental, I just need to start my chain reaction. To reach out to the people I know. Create meaningful bonds with the people I see and meet every day. To start a change in the world using love and compassion. No matter my mood, my needs, my wants. To take time to love others, care for others and use my power as it is given by God to share with the world.
I hope you are able to find inspiration in this song as I have. I hope you can see yourself as a person who can make a difference in the life of one person and then another and another. Let’s bring light to the dark places and work on changing the paradigm of this world, one person at a time. But it has to start with you!
